Vista memory usage reducing hotfix!

Please READ this first though before you consider installing it AnandTech: A Messy Transition (Part 3): Vista Buys Some Time

32bit version: The Hotfix Share -> Download Manager -> Language Neutral Windows Vista Hotfix Downloads -> Windows6.0-KB940105-x86.msu

I'm a sucker for any hotfixes for Vista, I'm just too curious. I don't have any of the games they tested, and I wasn't having any stability problems before, but reducing memory usage is never a bad thing. x64 patch installed!

so you even know what this patch does (did you read the anandtech review)

it stops the games from eating all ram up DX9 and WDDM eat ram with out it (2gb Per app you know for most 32 bit programs) so does not matter if you got 3-4gb of ram most programs will crash at 2gb link time, this patch is relateing to vista 32 and vista 64

this game as far as i know is the only know game i know of that hits the limit is Supreme Commander (goto page 13 and some one posted an Pic of SupremeCommander useing 2.9gb in task manager but its very nasty settings)

I wonder is there is memory usage reducing hotfix for Windows XP because I need to run the PS2 games on PCSX2 faster because my memory usage is almost at full.

What are you running? Do you have 256MB of RAM or something?
