It wont copy and paste!
Im not an idiot before anyone thiks it, Im only posting this cus I have never seen anything like it. Ok, basically, Im trying to copy and paste a file off of a playstation one disc, I have the disc saved as a ccd on my HDD and I used virtual clone drive to mount it, and then tried to copy and paste a .XA file off of it, and it comes up with "Invalid MS-DOS function". I tried using ISO buster to extract the file but it comes up with an error message as well. I then tried using the original disc but it just spins up alot, and then comes up with the same error message. I cant think of anything else to try, has anyone got any ideas of what I could try?

Well, if it says invalid MS-DOS function, this basically means that your CD/DVD drive cannot read your PS1 disc. Either the disc is now bad, or you need to try a different CD/DVD drive and try copying the file again.

That stupid disc drive! It always has been a bit funny at reading anything, not just psone games, but it all works fine, including the actual disc, hmmmm, I have an external drive somewhere(I think) I'll go and look for it and give it a go if I can find it...
EDIT:Same thing with the other drive, I looked up the error code in ISO Buster which was 05/64/00 which is appartnley "AN ILLEGAL MODE FOR THIS TRACK" Which I cant think what it could mean, unless it is some form of copy protection, it is an EA game, and the copy protection on thier games are quite good, I struggled to backup my sims games, so I really dont know what to do now. EDIT2: Well, using the other drive and telling ISO buster to extract as RAW works, I think, the file is somewhting like 10 mb bigger than it is on the disc, and what I wanted to try with the file didnt work so..... On a side note, are there any progs/plugins or anything that alllows you to play .xa music files? I have a plugin for pcm? Or something like that, which is psone audio, but is there one for .XA?

AFAIK that error is normal, PSX games are copy protected.
You can use PSM play to play XA, STR, TIM, VAG, VAB, SEQ files. Edit: forgot to mention, you need wnaspi32.dll, just Google for it or if you have Nero copy it from there.
