Question where do i get the "unreal editor"?

i purchased the Unreal Anthology, which has the first unreal and unreal tournament, along with unreal 2 and unreal tournament 2004. now, i bought unreal 2 a few years ago, and it game with a version of the unreal editor. but the unreal anthology did not come with any version of the editor. how do so many mods and maps get made for these games if the editor is not easily downloaded? so what gives, where do i get it and how so i can start modding ut 2004?

for me, the most obvious place to start would be google.

most modding came about when the game came out, as you said, the original came with the editor, so thats how people got in to it. But im sure a simple google search for say, "Unread modding" or something will bring up a few sites.

it should be there even though you may not have a shortcut... check in the SYSTEM folder of UT2K4 for a file called UnrealEd.exe
