Very Boring Dos Problem

Every time i run a dos game or app in full screen, when i minimize or close it, the screen goes blue or grey. The computer keeps runing as if nothing has passed! ex: if i minimized it and the screen turned grey, if i maximize again it i can see the dos program but when i exit, there goes the grey or blue screen!
Man, this sucks, can anyone help me?!?!

Switcht to standby mode and revert back. This should get rid of the grey and blue. But there is a slight chance that the pc might hang in standby.

When I run Dos programs like Zsnes, when I close the program sometimes the screen is all messed up.
Then I run a designed windows program (like Snes9xW) all come back at normal...
