- Buggy program; often shows perfectly working PDFs as corrupt.

FoxIt:

- 3.5MB setup file
- Instant start-up
- No annoying automatic updater
- Has the ability to edit and create PDFs
- Slick Firefox plug-in that's very low resource-hogging and snappy/stable.
- Simple light app that never fails.

I HATE Adobe Reader!!
Me too, but SumatraPDF > FoxIt OR Adobe. And it's open source!

PDF Xchange Viewer owns all, true story and its freeware unless you want the editor . I tried various pdf viewer's when i wanted to open a document i needed, allmost all PDF viewers (FOX, Adobe, some open source one, (meah i don't remember all of there names)) i tried failed by giving a critical error except PDF Xchange Viewer, also it consumes way less system resources then both Fox it and Adobe.

Its also been recommended by him:

Yeah that one its been some time since got it (and still used it) that i forgot the full name (and when you install it, it just says PDF-Viewer :P). Also the last fraze is just a joke :P.

Edited the above post hope it isn't that confusing now.

Found an interesting software, PhenomMsrTweaker: Cool & Quiet customized a tool to help customize Cool n Quiet feature on AMD Phenom chips (I and II) and enabling it while Overclocking.
a quote from the site :
Quote:
A utility to completely customize the Cool & Quiet feature of AMD K10 (Phenom etc.) processors. It may be used to overclock and/or undervolt the CPU. Its primary aim is to allow on-demand use of the powersaving Cool & Quiet feature even when running the CPU above its original speed.

PhenomMsrTweaker allows to fully customize two CPU performance states: multiplicator (per core), Vcore (CPU VID) and integrated Northbridge voltage (NB VID) of P-states 0 (performance) and 1 (powersaving).

Additionally, it provides a customizable replacement for the standard implementation of Cool & Quiet in the Windows driver and allows to control standard or custom Cool & Quiet via on-the-fly power scheme switching.
I've got mine @ 2.1GHz 1.15v while not doing anything strenous and up to 3.2GHz 1.275v while working full, and I don't notice any slowdown at all!

This helps shave some energy consumption according to this tool

Nice.

About pdf I just Installed office 2010 beta and it handles pdf native.

So one less program out of the pc.

Btw I've been using Picasa to manage my pictures and it's face detection works pretty good and it's light.

Recommended.

Open Office runs PDF native too, is free, and there's a portable version that doesn't destroy your Windows hard drive.

Yeah I use that on my ubuntu partition too.

But I don't see the reason why you say ms office destroy your windows hd.
You lose credibility points with that argument.

Hmm I think pdf (and odt) support have been there since SP2 (or was it SP1?)

anyway, found some good memory clean utility that actually work
homepage : CleanMem v.1.4.2 | PcWinTech.comâ„¢
usually save me at least 5% of free memory per run and this doesn't slow down the system like most other craps do.
