I'd like to point out AoA Audio Extractor is, by far the best tool I've used regarding audio extraction. just browse for a file, click the big red button and you're done! Extracts from all formats (tried and works on MPG, MP4 and a couple of others).

Easy Video Splitter is the greatest video splitting tool I've ever used (though its only a 7-day free trial

). Allows you to break up vids according to size, length, or specify cut points yourself. Does the job with even large vids in minutes and the rendered vids are ALWAYS playable! (unlike some other tools which just give out unplayable trash)

Well, for starters I'd take Internet Explorer off that list, because 1. It's included with Windows and 2. It REALLY is a horribly slow and insecure application.

Virtual machines:
VirtualBox

Audio apps:
Audacity

Apart from that...not much I can say is wrong with that list

~ a year ago, I "cleaned" my registry with Uniblue Registry Cleaner, and it screwed up the entire OS. That was the first and last time I used ANY registry cleaner.
