not being able to burn cds or dvds.....

ok here is the problem, so i rty to burn anything from data dvds, mp3 cds, and even isos to dvds but when i put the cd nad/or dvd to the bruner, nero reads it and says that there is no cd and/or dvd inside the burner, or that its full and no space, on the rare ocasion it actually reads it, it crashes about 20% its done of burning, same problems happen when i try to use PowerIso, Alcohol 120% and Clonecd.

i tryed to burn also on my brother's computer but the nero i installed it is giving the same problem.......

a friend told me to update the drivers for it but i couldnt find anything for my LG GSA-4163B burner, o well......

anyone has any ideas on what its going on??

I don't use Nero, but I burn CDs/DVDs all the time. I got my computer in 2003 with a Dual-Drive and a Burner built in. Do you have one?

Firmware HERE for LG GSA-4163B. Watch out though, easy to wreck things up with carelesness...

Any virtual drives installed?

You got StarForce ? to check, rightclick on MY COMPUTER, go to Properties, Devices, Device Manager. In Display, select Display hidden peripherals, and see under "Non-plug and play drivers" if there anything called Starforce. Interferes with burning operations to a great extent. If its present, you'll have to remove it (and probably forfeit on games that rely on it).

So, is it present ? Fixed ?

DVD-/+RW firmware... isn't anything that has "boot loader" or "firmware" automatically risky? XD

lol. I have lots of experience with motorola phones. You should see the paperweight forum at motomodders.
"I crapped my phone by flashing bootloader 7D0, PC says no, it doesn't do anything"
"the cat knocked the cable :'("
"I flashed with my memory card in"
"Where do I find Motorola RSD lite software?"
"Why did the DRM graphics **** my phone?"
"I deleted the phone's PSD, what does that do?"
"Flashed 90R firmware, the keypad blinks"

And the best one
"I threw up, and put my pants in the wash, and forgot my phone was in the pocket, what do I flash to fix this?"

sorry, benn out of country for 2 weeks, had to go to portugal due to family problems.
it all started when i took my old cd-burner out and replaced it with my LG cd/dvd burner.

i used the bundle cd that came with it to install nero that came with it, after some weeks it started giving me this problem, it also happened to my brother which i think i also used the same cd to install nero on his.

so after thinking it would the the cd problem i tryed to un-install the programs from the cd from my pc and just look for other nero editiongs online......afetr installing everything it still doesnt work.

btw i coudlnt find anythign called Starforce.
