when i try to download a program from microsoft.com it saya "this copy of windows is not genuine"but when i installed the same version of windows with the same cd on my cousins computer he can down load programs from microsoft.com can someone help please.

I INTALLED MINE before my cousin i intalled it for him last saturday,and i intalled mine a few weeks ago.
i got the disk from my brother in law but it says the same thing as mine but it works fine for my cousin |

This discussion kind of borderlines the warez policy, since you talk of having the same OS installed on 2 different PC's (only one of which belongs to you) and that violates Microsoft's end user licence. The reason you are getting that message should be obvious: your registration number is not legitimate, and Microsoft's server recognizes that it isn't.
