"What are the settings I'd need to use to get an appropriate, working backup for my game?"
Iso Producer settings for backups CD game? DVD game? Alcohol 120% is an easy to deal with backup solution. Check HERE for PSX games backup. For DVD games backup, use Dvd Decrypter. Run it, then do Mode->Iso->Read . Wait for a few minutes and your iso will be ready . |

i don't like ISO Producer. i never got it to work. yes, we know you want to set up ISO Producer. but we're telling you, there are other programs that are much easier to use, so you don't have to go through the hassle.
