Restricting User Access

I am the administrator on my computer, I have a roomate who I would like to give limited access the computer. I do want to restrict certain programs and several folders to me only. XP pro sp2 and I think this is a fairly simple task but I dont know this.

What would your suggestions be?

Make a new user (Control Panel > User Accounts) and when asked, just give it limited access. If I remember rightly, you can't created a limited account unless you have one with admin access in addition to the actual Administrator account. You will also be asked if you want to make your documents folder private. Be very careful with this as it will make life very difficult if you ever install a different OS or even just reinstall windows and use a different username.

also make sure that your partitions are in NTSF format, so that you'll be able to make some folders access restrictions

You can also simply create a guest account if that's enough.
