Hey, what do you guys think about the game company monolith. I like their fresh ideas, but the exectuion of these ideas can be a little weak. I've only played one of there games though (Shogo) so I can't really say much, but the other day I saw it bashed on penny-arcade. What do you guys think about it?

Re: Monolith
shogo's nice....is there anything penny arcade doesn't bash?
![]() BUT it DOES have serious flaws. some are gameplay related, like you getting killed by the door or characters getting stuck in the elevator, and the end BOSS doesn't even move if you shoot at a distance.... and the anime-look could have been done better....the player models look wacky, and not like anime, more like penguins....the intro movie has a j-pop song which doesn't go well together with the blood splatter you see in that movie (looks kinda silly)...as for use of blood > lotsa....but it looks funny/stupid....tomato ketchup. The story however is very nice, even though the ending is rather apdrupt. And even though there are many flaws it's still very nice to play. |

Re: Monolith
I just can't believe it. andre, are those MGS pics on your website from an emu? I've played MGS at least 20 times from start to finish on PSX, Bleem, and computer. Those pics look just as good as my computer version. Which emu did you use to get these amazing graphics?
