After a file corruption problem on my computer I had to install Win XP SP2 (my previous one was SP1) again but it has created another profile under \documents and settings making my previous one unacessible! The problem is, I have TONS of things on my previous desktop/my documents folders but WinXP doesn't let me access it!
Is there any way I can have my files back? Thanks in advance, Omegainf

1) Go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View, and disable "Use simple file sharing" (you can re-enable this after resetting the permissions). 2) Go to the properties of the old profile, you should see a "Security" tab now. 3) In the Security tab add your new user to the list, give it "Full Control" permissions, then press "Apply". 4) Now, go to Advanced, check "Reset permission entries on all child objects", and press "Apply". You should be able to access the folder after that. []s Badaro

Also, can you show me a screenshot of the "Security" tab for that folder? []s Badaro
