Getting notepad back in the right-click desktop menu thingy

right, so somewhere down the line, my notepad got h4x3d. i've fixed the main exe, but now when i do rightclick -> new on the desktop, notepad is no longer there. i'm assuming something got screwed in the registry. i WOULD reinstall it in add software, but for some reason its not considered a 'windows component' in winXP. so, who knows how to put it back? i'm probably overlooking something simple.

I think that it is a windows component..but maybe they just hid it? like the com+ apps..i'll go look for my reg settings later and tell ya.
