Help with my new iPaq 3870

So I win a iPaq 3870 on ebay and I just got it today. I opened the box to find a well packaged mini-pc, I'M SO HAPPY!! But when I connect it to the cradle through my USB port and power it on, M$ doesn't do anything about it. "Duh, I need the software," I think, so I go on google for iPaq 3870 drivers and I don't find anything that looks usefull. So I go to hp and I can't find the software their. Now this thing didn't come with any CD's, so does this mean I'm sol, and I have to find the files to synce my iPaq somewhere else?

Cut to the point: I have no CD's, how to I connect my iPaq 3870 to my PC?

Edit: Nevermind! I found what I needed on m$'s site, should have known...

But now I found that I'm having trouble with the battery, I dont think it will charge, or if I even have one! When I go to the Power icon in Settings under System, it has "Main battery" at the top, and 0 and 100% on ether side of the screen, nothing in the middle.

VDDZ, you need Activesync to connect the PPC and PC. And about your battery, do you mean the bar is just empty?

There is no bar, no outline of a bar, nadda! I have it on the cradle turned of right now, but the chargeing light is not flashing...

Edit: I know the light works as I was able to test it with the system's self test.

Ok, I downloaded WR-Tools ResInfo 1.30, installed it and went to the battery tab and it showed no charge, nothing in the bar, but it did say "Backup Battery: high" under that.

Edit: This thing can go into a type of hybernation mode, do you think that I may need to charge it over night befor I can use it?

Edit: I think this now belongs in hw, I'm going to start a new post there, mods, please delete this, or something...
