Norton Antivirus Newbie Help
Well.. Started using Norton Anti Virus Pro. Unless my System is Really WAY below the specs (which i never read in the first place) it is Really Slowing down my system. I want the Autoprotect on, But i dont want the damn thing scanning every single new file that pops up. it really REALLY slows down my system. if i disable the Auto Protect will it still Run the Schedualed Tasks?

I had problems with any NAV past 2k2 eating up my system resources. Hence why I'm still using 2k2.

Did Using 2k2 help kane? because i need a Virus scanner Active but i dont want the thing being a Resource hog. Im not Reactivating The Auto-Protect In the mean time, Not unless theirs a better scanner thats NOT a resource hog

Well the lowest spec PC I've used it on was a 1.1 Duron.... You could try one of the Freeware ones.

The closest thing i found was AVG which really sucks. is NAV a bad idea for my system specs?
EDIT Oh god its scanning my emails BEFORE i send them out???  that explains the long ass delay... but really though. if i turn off all this auto crap will the schedual tasks i told it to do still run?
