MIDI Synthesizer

hello,...

is there any Synthesizer for midi voices?
its just like Microsoft Synthesizer, but is there any, else? where i can get it?

Yamaha XG Synthesizer and couple of "civil" made, which names i forgot. Microsoft and Yamaha ones are best soft synths there is, but none of them can compete with good hardware/soundfont synth that comes with good soundcards.
