I can create one for you in VB.net easily but if you have any time of Virus Detector worth a damn it might not allow it to run because some virus's target running .exe's

Running on your PC??? What OS?? you can set permissions with 2k/XP to only allow it to run from administrator or power user mode

If it's a service of something just go into the admin tools and disable the service (Set it to disable) note though that is if it a needed or important service, disabling it wil cause issues.

Better yet, just rename it, something like "annoyingprog.eZZe"

From this guide:

Quote:
1 Go to 'Start Menu' -> 'Run', type 'regedit', and press 'enter' or click 'ok'.
2 Locate key '[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]'.
3 Create value 'RestrictRun'.
4 Add a DWORD value for each program you'd like to block, and write the name of the app (notepad.exe, regedit.exe, etc)
Hope this helps

I was going to suggest a group policy setting as well. Though, there is an easier way of setting that than directly using the registry.

It end up like in the screen below.

How“s that supposed to be? Anyone can make one config and post a screen just to show me how to do?
I didnt find the directions clear enough-my OS isnt in English, but Portuguese-BRASIL. Well most of the time it isnt a issue, but now is....

Start Menu > Run
Type 'gpedit.msc'
Hit OK

See screenshot.

That should answer any other questions you have.
