Nero 5 Problem.

Okay for awhile i thought i was having a drive issue, but after buying another one and it doing the exact same thing. i think its a nero thing. The thing is The lead in doesnt want to initiate. Along with the read buffer jumping from 98 -100 % all the time. Dont know what is causing it to freeze all the time..

I contacted nero but its been over a week.. their sure takin their sweet time..

1) Make sure you have updated drivers for your motherboard and CD Drive.

2) Make sure the CD drive firmware is up to date.

Maybe its your cd writer. I had exact same problems when i had this really cheap cdwriter. I had so many bad cd's while using nero. Then i switched to TDK and never had bad cd ever again.

WAY ahead of you, firmwires already updated. Plus Samsung said with this drive windows xp's default drive should support it. so i dont think they made any drivers for it

Im starting to think its a nero thing. whats TDK?

Tdk makes both cd writer and cd's. Too bad Nero doesnt work for you. Ever thought of using Alcohol 120%? I never cared for Easy Cd Creator myself. Maybe you should try Nero 6 and maybe it wont give you problems.
