myIE2/IE picture problems

this used to happen to me with IE but it went down for a while, and now its happening with MyIE2 (and IE).

lets say i google a site and theres a jpg pic. when i try to save it, its a bmp and i cant change that. i cant even drag the pic to my desktop (i get the O with a circle). any idea what could be causing this?

interestingly it doesnt happen with gifs (like the pic above, emuforums gif) but it does happen with, for example, my signature below.

Re: myIE2/IE picture problems

it's an IE problem .. and an easy fix. First delete the temp files. Then lower the amount of disk space to use for temp internet files. Finally changed the option "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to " Everytime you start internet explorer".

I will try to find the troubleshooting page for this known issue.
