WinXP CDs autorun

Hmmm, could anyone tell me how to remove the autorun feature under XP?
I know how to do it under 9x, but the check box is gone when XP came out

Please don't tell me to go to Drive props, it doesn't contain the category of CDs I want to disable

To be short, I don't like when the CD interface pops up when I put one in my drive

1) Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC

2) Go to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System.

3) Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off and modify it as you desire by clicking "Properties".

Tweak UI will also do it for you.

although my windows is in french, the translation of this part of the OS is ok

In tweak ui, look in My Computer >> Autoplay >> Drives.
Older version of Tweak UI also has this IIRC.

yeah which is really lame because they DONT STATE IT anywhere. well, maybe they do but i never saw it. i thought something was wrong with my computer when i tried to install it, because of that.
