sharing internet connection
I was wondering... how can i share an internet connection for 2 computers when they are connected through a crossover paralel cable. I have read abou the usb and utp one, but nothing about paralel so i was wondering if it works the same

I imagine it would be possible if you can establish a network using that cable. You'd get crappy speeds though, I'm not sure what the baud rate of a direct parallel cable connection is but I'm sure it's around or below 10000.

I've never tried this, but it might work if you setup an advanced connection within your network connections demonstrated in the photo below. It should establish a psuedo-network connection allowing you to connect through ICS as if you were using a regular CAT5 ethernet cable.

Well I do have set the parallel connection, but i dont know how to tell the connected comps to share the internet connection

on the server you tell it is connected directly to the internet (unless you use a router); on the other PC you want it to think it connects to the server/network to access the internet
