A program to get files from some one

Does any1 know a way i can get a file from a friend ? dont tell me send it by e-mail the file is way to big its around 300 MB

and a FTP server isnt a solution either unless some1 wants to tell me how to make one. And ftp servers cost money right ?

so does any1 know some way or program of getting 300 mb from a m8

err... Mail the HDD??
Try opening up a P2P prog.. then get it by that way...
unless you're transferring illegal data...

uhm right the idea of the chat program did cross my mind but i didnt wanna keep my pc on the hole time. 170 mb file went with 4 kb a sec !!!

so i calculated it and it would take 12 hours !! and than there is still 150 more mb to be tranfer so...

i need a faster way

Bulletproof FTP Server or a IM program like Kirby said.
BFPTSERV has very nice speed and a straightforward GUI and i use it to transfer files from work to home and vice versa 30-day trial.. it costs after that but IRC can dig you out of that 30-day trail stuff

EDIT: You should know. AIM, ICQ, M$N, jabber, things like that.
