Help!!! Cannot View Avi!

I burned a movie in a CD and then a buffer underrun appeared, then the movie dissapeared from my HD, now I´m trying to view the movie but the last 5mbs are bad sectors, I cannot watch it!!!!!!!!The CD reader is like 10 minutes reading and nothing happens, tried with virtualdub but when recontructing index block, it stops doing that and is closed automatically.

Now i want to copy with windows explorer, but when 99%, cd reader starts trying to read and then when ctrl+alt+supr -> end task, explorer deletes the avi.

So Isnt there a prog to backup a file from a CD (not explorer because it delete file after error)

help help help!!!

Re: Help!!! Cannot View Avi!

You could try: make an ISO of the CD with 'skip bad sectors' on, then mount said CD in your virtual CD-rom

Re: Help!!! Cannot View Avi!

Well you could also try opening the file in virtualdub and editing out the offending section.

No solution, virtual dub crashes, i need some prog that copy failed file to HD and then fix with vdub.

Re: Help!!! Cannot View Avi!

make an iso image... extract the avi file.. then try using divfix or virtualdub to fix it
