If you want to know what's "fixed" in this release, there's a security hole caused by the way DirectX handles MIDI files. To make a long story short, playing a specially-crafted malicious MIDI file could cause execution of any code on your machine.

Beware the evil MIDI file of doom... it will sound bad, make your cat screach, burn your food, and even corrupt your exlporer.exe file!
