There is a pc speaker driver for Windows 3.1x and Windows 9x which will allow you to play .wav files through the PC Speaker. Keep in mind it only plays .wav files, so don't get your hopes up on playing any emus through it. You can download it directly from Microsoft and there are complete instructions there on how to install it and what not.

Enjoy

Oh yeah... The bigger the internal speaker you have, the more volume you'll get. Remember most computers have a miniature speaker inside nowadays.

Yep. That's exactly the same reason why I searched for the driver in the first place.

I think this driver consumes a lot of processor power, so it might be the wrong choice for running emus on a 486 anyway.

Using PC speaker to play a high quality sound especially in high volume can burn and damage the pc speaker, using pc speaker for output high quality sound is not recommended, pc speaker only capable of output 0.5Watt.
