Sakura Taisen 2 PC JAP issues.....

Ingredients: DirectX 9, Sakura Taisen 2 PC JAP, Windows XP Pro w/non-unicode programs set to Japanese, ASUSTeK A7V266-E mobo with C-64 onboard sound.

Problem: When navigating the main menu, the music skips every on nearly every mouse click or different menus. Also, Voiceovers play halfways and then skip to end in each and every dialogue. (Kinda like running Super Robot Taisen Alpha on bleem!) Patch was already applied and to no avail. Yeah, I know this game isn't new, but voiceovers skippin' takes the fun out of the game. Otherwise no obvious problems have been found.

Anyone has similiar problems?

P.S.: Sakura Taisen 3 PC JAP/CHT WILL be out, but in a distant future (Release date TBA)

Perhaps a downgrade to DX8 would fix it? The chinese version works great on on my comp, and i got lower specs than yours.

Now if I could just find some time to finish it... I just got past the episode where you meet the new assistant commander, Kaede Fujieda.

Heh, I actually wanted Traditional Chinese version...But none avaliable here.

I have to make do with the Simplified version. Pain in the neck to be flipping my Chinese dictionary in the middle of play.
