explorer don't show preview of an image file...

well like the title of the thread said, I have a problem with my windows explorer... if you pick an image file either a jpg, gif or bmp, it should show on the left side right? but mine doesn't show any... befroe, it only show bmp files but now, everything is gone!!! can somebody help me about this??? well I'm using win98 by the way... thanks in advance...

I had this prob too, there is somethig to change in regedit but I don't know what...
BTW, try installing Irfanview, when you double-click on your pic,
the soft loads very quickly, and ask no resources... or else, wait for lotta bugs/crash/whatever-is-bothering, then reinstall Windows

well I have ACDsee on my PC to see the images but I really want the preview image to come back... hope someone will help out...

I had the same problem before a long time ago.

In my case, some files linked to IE was corrupted so I had to reinstall IE to fix the problem.

Yes, when you do a reinstall, the corrupted files should be replaced with the original files.

I had this problem before when I installed Infranview under 98se. I remember finding the problem off the Microsoft Knowledge base, but it took me a little time to find it again

Don't worry about the registry thing, that's only for newbies
