Video Codecs?
can someone give me the link to download ( not win update) the full video codecs for media player? I downloaded some codecs from the net but they screwed up everything for me. thanks in advance!

Chances are you already have them on your computer and don't know it.
Go to the control panel and double click on add/remove programs, then select the windows setup tab. Move down to multimedia and enter there, remove the tick from the box next to mediaplayer codecs and hit apply, I would then recommend restarting. When you have rebooted do the above again and put the tick back. |

I always use the NIMO codec pack, this bunch of codecs have been able to play just about everything I've run into on the internet.
http://nimo.titanesk.com/nimo The website is a bit slow, so you might need to refresh your browser and you might want to uninstall Divx before putting this on.

nimo is jsut the best!!!
just don't install g400 filter, tfm audio filter, morgan multimedia stream switcher, and the bicubic resizer filter. and you are set. also, i don't suggest ever installing divx 5.0 to 5.0.3 unless you have the non spyware version, but install the divx 5 direct show filter anyway, as it will improve performave when decoding divx.

actualy, I installed DivX 5.0.3 and it works just fine. Nimo keeps giving me a error ( MS library not found) and it doesnt work. but anyways, thanks for your suggestions
