Yeah just use mplayer2 instead of the big media player (its C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player)

Err, nope. Just keep your mouse stationary I guess whenever watching stuff on WMP8.

I actually agree completely. I liked WPM6 back in the day, but some of the stuff in the new WMP versions just makes it worth it. It handles mislabelled and damaged files better, and the compatability rate is a hell of a lot higher. I had problems playing some DivX movies in WMP6, but I have pretty much 100% compatability with supported file types in WMP9.

I hate windows media!!! For some random reason the program crashes when ever I try to play something. Upgrading from WMP 8 to WMP 9 does nothing! Oh well, Winamp 3 and RealONE seem to do the job just fine.

WMP is excellent for me. Realone is a resourse hog, and adware in the extreme. Winamp 3 has some problems with certain files. WMP 9 is fast, and compatible as hell. Zoom takes just as long to load up, if longer. I'm sticking to WMP9 and Winamp 2 myself.

YEah, I had that problem myself for a while, but I couldn't find that option in the options menu. It eventually solved itself but I didn't know why.

Kane, I just have a question. Since you seem to know all the configuration menus so well, is there any way of reconfiguring the hot keys in WMP so that when I hit the space bar it pauses the movie like it should (In WMP6)?
