Hey there friends!! Need a bit of help here. I installed Rokio Easy CD creator 5 in my laptop but it caused me problems with my writer. The problem is, that I still get the same error even after uninstalling. I can't even write anything on the cds now. Plz help. I couldn't find any patches fot this BTW. Thanks in advance

What OS are you running on your laptop? I think there's a patch for v5.1 on Roxio's website for Windows XP that's supposed to make it work on Windows XP. The software may also have installed an ASPI layer. Try installing ForceASPI and see if it helps.

I'll try that, Demigod. And the patch works only with the Platunium version, despite what the site says

No good, problem is still here. R there any free writing programs? I thought if I installed one, it would overwrite what ever the other one did....Maybe I'll check for a demo of the Platunium

Well, where can I get it and is this a writing program or a tweaker?? BTW, Windows thought one of these three was the problem: Roxio's software (already uninstalled), Real Player (I just uninstalled it but to no good) and Windows Media Player (???). Does that help?

strange, I'll check it again. The one I tried said I didn't have any Roxio software onboard. Strange, considering the software came with the laptop. And I just tried restoring to a time before the problem but it's still there.
Thanks for the info Kane but I want to copy specific music tracks from different albums and that is not possible with cdrwin IIRC
