Me be needing a program that monitors heat.

Yep, a program that monitors CPU and mobo temperatures, and one that will sound an alarm when the temps reaches a certain degree, too. I have one now provided by MSI but it keeps reading the system fan speed wrong@ 0, and the alarm keeps sounding. Reinstalling or updating it didnt help so Im resorting to another program...any ideas?
Thanks

system fan speed is 0 because the program can only monitor one fan, and there are several connectors for systems fans. it usually only monitors the first. i had this problem too, but then i looked around the mobo until i found the connector labeled FAN1 (near the CPU fan connector) and plugged my system fan there. anyway, get cpucool, or motherboard monitor

Well my motherboard doesnt have any other connectors other than CPUFAN1 and SYSFAN1. I guess I'll try out the programs you mentioned... after I find out where to download them. If you could tell me I'd be very thankful and forget about the KawaiiMark incident, how does that sound?

Dont you have the options to turn off the system/sound alarm at certain temps in your bios Han?
I have allways had these options in the computers I've built.

Im not using the BIOS alarm, Im using the proggy came bundled with my motherboard. I dont have the option for it to shut up if it cant detect the system fan, so Im trying to find a new suitable prog here since my CPU sometimes gets extremely hot.

I have a good one called ASUSProbe that came with my Mboard...
I believe that it is Free to download at

asus.com

It allows you to set threshhold temperatures and RPMs for all internal components (it also supplies guidelines based on what you have), then when the threshhold is passed it sounds an annoying little alarm.

IT doesn't do anything of course but it warns you that there is a problem. It can even make funny little graphs of everything!!
(AND it gives you info on ALL internal components and settings, very cool and useful in itself)
all in all it is a pretty cool little prog that I would reccomend.

If your mobo is supported, Speedfan is excellent for monitoring those temps. It can even be configured to rev up your HSF's fan when it hits a certain temp, as shown here... where it automatically revs up to 100% whenever it hits 50 degrees celsius.

i didnt like ASUSProb at all. its to heavy-memory- and also have a lot of junky features.
i used MBM for some time, but cpucool just granted me 5~10 temp less!!

I use speedfan all the time. It gives heat readings, but I use it to make sure my cpu fan dosnt die unknownly. I would use cpucool, it takes me from 41-34ish, but I keep getting bsod's with it whenever I try to run a resource extensive prog.

EDIT: I use my bios alarm. Its annoying as hell but it saves you from alot of damage when a fan dies.
