Windows 98 Explorer Problem

When I open windows explorer, it's hang up around 5-10 sec

in status bar is writen
"load:ms.com.ActiveX failed ActiveX component can't be instantiated"

i was format my hard disk and then install windows again....
but itsn't work. What should i do ? Anyone can help me ?

Wierd problem, did you checked you HD for viruses.
Could you upload a screenshot of that?

might be caused by windows corrupted files. try re reinstalling windows.

maybe your windows version is corrupted, try installing other OS.

and try running scandsk for errors.

Well use a antivirus program like notran antivirus or find one off the net

I would recommend...

A: Try Reinstalling Windows...

B: Move to a more stable version of Windows (Such as Win2000 or WinXP)

Never heard of it before. Neither did the knowlege base. I even did a metasearch, but nothing for explorer specificly.

Your CD is probably corrupted. Get another CD somehow.

Have a look in the "Downloaded Program Files" folder that will be in the Windows Directory and delete anything you find there.
