Need Help Recovering Files!

I just installed Winamp 3 over my old winamp directory and it deleted all my skins!

I already tired Norton Undelete and it cannot find the files.

I need a program that will recover files.

Please can someone recommend some data recovery program for me ?

ahh,..thats crap,.....did you use an installer ( i mean a program) to install it or did you run the setup straight away? if you ran the seyup, then i m afraid you cant recover these files,.........sorry

Yes, I used the setup program. All my skins are gone now.

I try to use R-Undelete Demo to see if I can find the hex code of the files but it isn't there. The winamp 3 installer has complete over written the old directory.

I am really P.O. now since some of skins took me a long time to create.

To add more insult, Winamp 3 is not 100% compatible with the old Winamp 2 skins.

thats true,....winamp3 used xml code in its skin, while the winamp2 skins use plain bmp. images ( i am a winamp skinner myself). As far as i know, i think these skins you had before are gone, and you cant get them back even with a R-undelete becasue you didnt use it to setup winamp3 from the first place. Unless other users of the forum come up with other ideas, which is guess is doubltful,............
