Getting past a firewall

Any software that can do so, that's for free? I've finally figured out why KaZaA/iMesh/WinMX won't connect on my friend's office comp (it's on a corporate LAN-thingy, with a firewall).

beware... p2p programs could share everything on the lan. meaning... company secrets could be leaked on accident.

AFAIK it can't be disposed of. I'm behind a firewall myself. The settings are so extreme that I can't even access hotmail.

If the program allows changing ports, you can try using 80 or some other common port number. But if the firewall also blocks the domains of the P2P servers you're out of luck.

if you want to just access regular websites...

go to

https://www.megaproxy.com

that will enable you to go to a website that is restricted by a firewall. like hotmail

I can access websites just fine. What I can't access are FTP sites and the constant headache of P2P software not connecting. mIRC doens't connect too.

There is no way to get around physical firewall. What you gonna do, open the cap and hack off a piece?

Well then can somebody at least recommend me any file-sharing program that has HTTP proxy support?

Firewalls.....A great product to keep stuff secret, but when it gets in your way, it betta run.

M local library put up some firewalls to block downloads, but I easily got around it.
