Not Administrator

Anyone know how to install games onto a comp. running windows 2000 without administrative privileges? Im trying to install Ultima Online at my job. Any help would be appreciated.

Um if it's not using Installshield (e.g. The install program used by UT/Deus EX) then it should work.
Otherwise, I'd say good luck on hacking.....

well it goes through the installation process without any errors but when you try to play it says it wasnt installed correctly

and just how would i go about hacking that anyways?

well by hacking i mean extracting admin username/password from some files.............
Could the cd be damaged? Or you got warez?

well here's one thing...

you cannot easily install anything unless you got a username and password for an administrator coz it will be the only one that could permit add/remove program in a PC, especially if your PC's at work is connected through LAN.

i know the cd is fine and no it is not warez i guess nm cause its not worth all the trouble to go through maybe on a good day ill ask em to install it cause i dont do anything at my job thnx anyways for the help

Actully if it WAS warez it would work. A rip of any game would install fine.

and i get 12.50 an hour i sit here in front of this screen and look at it and no they arent hiring

I suggest that you don't even bother, that you bring your own laptop or something because hacking accounts ain't my strong point, to start off.
Furthermore, you might wanna be more specific on what the problem is, what was displayed in the error messages, and what events occured.
Try L0pht. Don't ask me what it is. I shouldn't even talk about it. If you can't find it or don't know what it is, do some research on it and see how it might help you. Just might help.

but lets just say that you got the game installed... won't the administrator check your PC and might detect the game??? I know that the admi usually check the PC once in a while...

the error message read simply that the game was not installed correctly to reinstall it i recieved no errors when installing it

and i dont really care if they see it i have a ton of emulators on here and some compilers and other suff and they havny checked it so far they pretty much gave us all there crappy old laptops to use for this job

ohh... so you have the emu running in your workplace! well thats the best alternative for now before you can really install a PC game...
