psx & ps2 copy

I can copy ps2 files easy, but not anything from a psx disc. Any1 know why?
if it makes any diff ... the psx cd is a game, the ps2 cd is a demo cd

actually i was doing the drag & drop method, i was kinda surprised it worked.
to clear it up: i was trying to copy .pss files on the ps2 cd (which worked) and trying to copy .str files from the -rented- ps disc (which didn't)
the ps2 disc was the Timesplitters 2\Hitman 2 demo cd and the ps disc i can't recall

Are you just trying to copy ps movie files or the entire cd/dvd?

the drag and drop method wont work since the index file is missing and the files which are supposed to appear wont, since the cdrom wont recognize or find the index file
