Cdrwin

My Chrono Cross game is pretty scratched up, and it doesn't work in my PSX anymore. I extracted the CD onto my computer using CDRWIN by making a .bin file and running it on Epsxe. My problem is that my hard drive is pretty small, and I want to burn the game to two cd's. That way I won't have to keep a huge file on my computer. When I try to burn them (the game is two cd's), only CD1 makes it onto a cd. The other (2nd CD) is 707 Megabytes. That's 7 meg's too big. Is there a way to extract the 2nd CD using another program which will make the cd take up less space?

Just try making the CDs. I have Chrono Cross burned onto 2 74 min CDs. ISOs are usually much bigger than the actual burnt size.

i am just wondering if CDRwin can make backup CDs with all sort of protection (securerom1 and 2, safedisc 1 and 2, laserlock, etc...)

I knew that CloneCD can make prefect copies of all sorts of copy protection.

CDRWin has served me well for a long time. However, the old version I was using (3.7), no longer works with my CD Burner. I don't like the new version at all (5.01), and I can really get it to work that well. It's BlindWrite for me now.

But when CDRWin did work for me, it worked very well. I did have problems with copy protection with things such as Red Alert 2, but I think my burner was partly responsible for that. I have never had any problems with PSX games.

I thought there was copy protections... Are you sure I can copy the 2nd cd without a problem? I tried looking at the files on the cd, but they are stored in a strange format. Will NTI CD Maker 2000 write a cd without seeing the files?

I think for making psx and PC games backups CDs, CloneCD and Blindread/write are the best. Isobuster is good for making backup isos.

I have a friend who is using NTI CD Maker 2000 and has LOTS of problems. He can't play the CD at all after burning...
Try to use CloneCD and BlindWrite.

No wonder it sucked so badly. Thanks for the tip.
