between microsoft outlook and outlook express ?
and which one's better ?

I was using incredimail but I think i will quit using that because I don't like it anymore.

I use outlook express but its really prone to viruses.Microsoft Outlook isnt better either.
But if its microsoft you are forced to use it.

ms outlook comes with M$ office and you have to buy it

Express supports hotmail, Outlook doesn't. Outlook has calender functions (time tables, appointments, eytc), Express don't

Outlook Express is more for email and newsgroups, while Outlook handles that and tries to become like a planner, address book, etc... I especially like the features of Outlook that allow you to automatically deal with incoming email. There's numerous spam email addys that Outlook filters out for me and deletes. I'd say overall, Outlook is better than Express, but you don't get it unless you have Office.

same thing when installing Office 97, 2000

Outlook is designed for use with Exchange Server, unless you've got one of these on your network stick with Express. The PIM tools can be useful if you're into that sort of stuff.

hey, i know its an old thread, but from what i remember, we're not supposed to start new ones on the same topic...anyway, i'm looking for a planner/organizer like outlook. Anyone know of a good prog for that...even better if its an email client too (like outlook). i just don't want to use outlook cuz of all the security holes, i've been using it for a month and my system's already been infected...any alternatives?

I use the yahoo.co.uk email service through Outlook Express and haven't had to pay for it. Do you think they will bring it in soon in the UK. If not sign up for the .co.uk email and still get it free.
