Freeware Audio Recorder

Does anyone know of a freeware program that can record audio that is playing on your PC? (From a game or some other sorce?) Thanks for any help.

The best program is in the windows itself, goto Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>SoundReco rder (Im talkin XP).......!

it's in win95/98 too....

goldwave is shareware but fully functional AFAIK.
you might want to try that.

I can only find how to use WIndows Sound Recorder to record from a microphone. How do I get it to just record what is being played?
