OpenCL and RivaTuner = no temp display?
I was downloading some dolphin builds, and i came across some NVidia OpenCL specific opengl plugin. So I googled what OpenCL was, and it said something about better performance with GPUs that support CUDA. So I downloaded the OpenCl from NVidias site and installed it, and now RivaTuner displays my GPU temperature at 0. Is there a fix for this? Is OpenCL worth using? How do I use OpenCL, is it just used after its installed or do i need to download other things? I guess I shouldn't of installed it if i have these questions lol. Also speedfan reports it temp at 0.

OpenCL as an update to video drivers and as a plugin, is still very new. Expect problems until it matures more.

OpenCL is a new open standard for programming parallel architectures. It is not only geared towards NVIDIA's GPU's. but towards any GPU in general, multi core systems and even the cel architecture or handheld devices with parallel potential, or hybrids even. Right now I'd say that OpenCL is in a very immature stage (to be truthful, I find it a pain to program in and always end up falling back to CUDA), although I think it is where the industry will eventually move to. For the moment, I'd personally put off any OpenCL applications as 'just for enthusiasts', wait for a year and check back after that.

Well I edited the forcedriverversion in RivaTuner, so now it displays temperatures fine, but speedfan still doesn't know whats going on lol.
