how do I download the game saves from gamefaqs to my ps2 ?

I guess the only way to do that is to have a gameshark.

but I have a sony cyber shot which uses a usb cable and a " i - link 400 " can I connect my ps2 with that cable to download the game saves ?

you need a usb crossover cable.
you can get the sharkport for ~$20 but the software for it really blows last time i used it.

ok, yes i believe it requires a gameshark.
a crossover cable is basically all it is. they dont necessarily look special. they are used all the time to connect 2 pcs thru a usb port.
i havent used my sharkport in a long time (left it at home) but when i did use it, the software was poorly designed, difficult to use, and severely limited. it did however upload/download game saves to a ps2 memcard in your ps2 and up/download codes to the gs2. a lot of people complained that the cable was too short (3 feet) but they said you dont need to have the ps2 hooked up to a monitor to have it work.

what do you mean?
the sharkport is nothing but a crossover cable.
i have it and ive used it before. you plug one end into your pc, the other into the ps2. you load up the software on the ps2 and then you open up software on the pc.
how many times do i hafta explain this..

wow is this thread ever old, it's not good to be reviving such old threads (especially if it's almost 4 years old )

I do this by using FTP software on my PS2 and networking it to my pc so I can transfer saves from my hard drive to the memcard. Of course, doing it this way requires the ability to boot homebrew on your ps2....
