Benchmark time: 3d mark 2001 SE released!

over at www.madonion.com they released 3d mark 2001 SE, working with DX8.1
While it's not a major update, it's always nice to see what benchmarks everyone's getting, so head over to www.madonion.com and grab a copy

I got 2357 on the default benchmark (standard settings), not too bad for an ageing p3 800 with geforce 2mx, but I'm sure many of you can do better

I had 2d mark 2001 but my computer couldn't do all the tests, namely the Nature test.

nature test doesnt work here either, but that shouldn't spoil the fun

hm, that's incredibly low for that system...either that or a geforce 2 MX 200 performs way below a "regular" geforce 2 mx or mx 400.
I think you might want to upgrade your videocard...should give quite a boost.

Yep, my videocard is bottlenecking my system, Im gonna sell and trade it for a ge-force2 ultra this week that should give me at least a 2500+ score

that should definately do the trick; I've played Medal Of Honor against someone yesterday, we tested the fps, I have a p3 800 with geforce 2 mx and got 40fps on standard detail, no FSAA, he had an amd athlon 900 and a geforce 3 and ran 80fps, with full detail and 2xfsaa. Quite a difference!

I only got 1200 on res 1024, and that's i've been tweak!!!.
can you give me your setting ?

with my old config i had 2542 benchies... that was a amd tb 850 with a geforce 256 sdr.

now i've got a amd tb 850 with a geforce 3 ti 200 and i've got 4972. Now i've gotta wait for my amd xp 1700+

i'm running on default settings, I dont have tweaked/overclocked anything....

strange... same as here, but i had overclocked my GF2mx400, by the theory, my GF2 run as fast as you.

does anybody know how to make my GF2 run until the score 2500 up ?

generally it is safer to tweak than oc, try nvmax or geforce tweak utility. btw what is the difference with 2001 and 2001se? any new tests?

my score for 2001 in winXP with geforce2GTS using 27.20 is ~4500 no oc
