Good scheduling app?

Basically, I need a software which will shut-down my PC at a given time or after a given time interval. Now you might ask, "Why the f*** do you need a separate app just do schedule a shut-down?" Well, these are the ways which I've tried so far, and both of them didn't work:

1) Made and executed a batch file which would execute the "Shutdown.exe" file in the System32 folder at a given time.
2) Ran "control schedtasks" and created a new task to execute shutdown.exe at a given time.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Using Windows 7.

you failed to include the -s arg.

Wait, so instead of executing the shutdown.exe file, can I just make a batch like this and execute it?

Code:

shutdown -s -t 7200

So the PC just shuts down after 2 hours (7,200 seconds). I'm not sure if this works on Windows 7, only tried it on XP before.
