I obviously can't figure out how to change the file association back in Vista to give my zipped archives that default Windows icon again. I've checked every option I could think of and none of them allow me to change this back. Yes this seems quite laughable, but I've never had this problem in the past..

![]() Joking of course.Well I didn't mean to say that Vista is bad. It's not bad at all.I tried it and I liked it VERY much.Even some things are better then in XP.I just said that it's not good because it requires much RAM.That's the ONLY thing I don't like in Windows Vista.Otherwise it rocks!!! ![]() But then again I like Windows XP more.I guess I just used to it.Hmm I am just wondering WHEN will there be a day when XP will be bad and old like Windows 95 is today...... ......Starting from Windows version 1.0...blablabla...Windows XP is version 5.0,Windows Vista is version 6.0 so Windows 7 is version 7.0.Also Microsoft said that Windows 7 is more like a BIG PREPARE for their final Windows 8. But they also said that Windows 8 WON'T be their last operating system.Lol I remember my first computer. It was using Windows 95.And look at the Windows 7 today. You just CAN'T compare Windows 95 and Windows 7.So many differences...totally new kernel. ![]() Hey by the way...are there still SOME people that are actually using Windows 95??? Take a look at this link lol.Looks like there STILL are some people that are actually using Windows 95: Why I Still Use Windows 95 - The Andrew Turnbull Web Journal Ok I admit that Windows 95 really IS old,but hey.If you are one of the greatest programmers,it's still possible to run most things under Windows 95.Uhm...I think...

Thanks. I recently had the same problem. This was a lifesaver. Edit: I'm actually having this problem with 7-zip files now lol. The fix doesn't appear to work for them since there's no "UserChoice" subkey and I don't know much about registry values, so I'd rather not start messing with them. I'm not entirely sure why my 7z files run as .pdf but they do... Any help on this one? Last edited by Zyxer; October 13th, 2009 at 22:38.. Reason: Related problem involved |
