hopefully this year will be better for pc racing games than the last one...

since in 2001 it was pretty crappy...sure, eracer was great, but one of the few titles released.
Oddly enough, in the last month of last year suddenly a bunch of rallygames were released, and also a game called supercar street challenge(http://www.activision.com/games/supe...ash/index.html) was supposedly released, even though I've never seen it anywhere (even though, oddly enough, it WAS reviewed by a dutch gamesite...wonder how they got it).
Anyways, fortunately (well for me at least) 2001 ended well with the release of Motoracer 3, which is a very cool game

Anyways, the future looks better.
This year there's a big chance the following titles are coming this year:
Grand Prix 4 (sequel to the awesome gp series from geoff crammond)
World Sports Cars (already a legend)
Toca Race Driver (well, it's codemasters and toca)
Colin Mcrea Rally 3 (voted most likely to kick the ass of all other rally games)

those only are reason enough for me to stick to pc

..especially since there are 128 MB Radeon cards coming up

I'm currently saving up because I expect somewhere later this year I might have to upgrade my system a bit

Afterall, high framerates are important, ESPECIALLY in racers.

Yeah, Motoracer 3 was a good game. Another cool game was Williams F1 Team Driver, although I haven't played it much.

And Supercar Street Challenge does exist. My friend has it, and I saw it in a retail store some time ago.

Paris-Dakar Sucks , ain't that good , GTA 3 is a better choice even , if it ain't the same type !

There's only one problem: GTA3 is not a racing game, strictly speaking

I was talking about the theme of the game, not a game title.

I had a paris-dakar game on msx, it was programmed in basic and had these beatiful one color sprites
