IE5.5 Downloads
Argh, IE behaving stupid again :\
Now everytime i try to download some files (mainly mp3z) and after clicking the link, instead of asking me for a location to put them and start downloading, gives me a warning i dont have a correct ActiveX app to play that type of file and ends up playing them with quick time's Browser plugin... i usually use Getright (and if it is monitoring my clicks it starts the download) but sometimes i need to disable it and its frustrating to download 50 files with "save location as". i have already disabled Quicktime's browser plugin for mp3z, but it doesnt seem to work. the question, i can i make IE5.5 download mp3 files again with no resort to "save location as" or download managers? jes clikin ![]() thkx ps - yes, i do know http mp3z is lame, but its preety good when you are downloading complete gamemusic albums (Xenogears hurray!)

Audiogalaxy is leaving all my downloads @ 90~95% but never completes them, and moves on to the next music in the playlist

(i don't know if this will work, but i suppose its worth a try)try doing a web search 4 activeX, and download its newest version. try going to www.microsoft.com and download IE 6.0 (probably ur safest bet). try going into ur options menu and make sure activeX is enabled (it should be by default, but...)

Try disabling "browser integration", or something similar to that.

That's the reason why I don't use Getright... Download Accelerator Plus works best for me, simple and does the job right.

To disable active X goto the security tab in internet settings and click on custom level.
