It's a good thing I don't play EverCrack. That's more than a slight increase. However, since this doesn't have much (if anything) to do with emulation, I'll move it to off-topic software.

$40 a month for a game ? Thats so stupid , if everyone thinks the same way i do it would be good to let them money brained people built a server with constant updates for no one but one or two , till they lower the prices .

I never liked EQ , btw.

Silly, silly people. The $40 charge is for a "premium" service, with improved customer support (never a strong point of the regular service), more content, more events, etc etc. I don't think anyone would be so dumb as to jump the price to $40/month, that's suicide.

Premium service it may be , but still it is a game .. games are normally free or inexpensive to play , $40 a month is too expensive unless youre wealthy enough. Besides , you have to buy the game first .

Sure, they're free when the company doesn't have to maintain massive server farms to accomodate the 400,000+ people who play the game, not to mention hiring all those customer support guys and GMs.
