I'm curently using the graphical windows client because it amuses me. Once the novelty of it wears off I'll be switching to command line version.

Nothing wrong with that. Another positive about the GUI-client is, you've got more control over the client, than with the console-client. You can e.g. pause the current work.

Got the GPUs up and folding, too? The HD3870 aren't over the top, when it comes to folding, but I think they'll give at least as much points, as the CPU (when running on all 4 cores, using the SMP-client), each of them.

Ah, and by the way: Welcome to the team!

I uninstalled my CPU SMP client. I have no idea why it keeps screwing up every time I restart/shutdown my computer. Maybe when they have a stable high performance CPU client going I'll try again.

But for now, my 3 GPUs will do the crunching

HTPC war ?

Mines already done. Got the new dual-band N router set up too. All I need now is to set up one of those funky media players.

Checking in with this thread again.

WOW. Sounds to me like this summer (or winter for you upside down people) will be heating up with a lot of GPUs and CPUs and what have yous joining in.

And we have a new second in place ! congratulations to skoreanime and his own personal cluster Still amazes me how much you guys are giving in to this little project. In terms of power used at home (and the power used to cool those devices!), increased noise from fans, and personal computing time...I'm just leeching off spare parts that we have lying around in the lab and I don't pay for anything...so all the more power to you home contributors !

As of this post, we are ranked 1748. Seems like we came a long way but still have a ways to climb !
