You might want to turn on -advmethods skore. Right now you're flying through WUs, but they're not worth many points.

The load balancing on XP *seems* to do a better job than under Vista. It could just be that certain games/apps/emus just don't request exclusive access for GPU resources and instead only take what they can get. Doing the latter would cause FAH to not unhook and go into idle mode.
Indeed. That makes sense, as probably not many games/apps/emus are used to having to need to request exclusive access for GPU resources, as GPU computing still really hasn't reached mainstream.

As for the differences between XP and Vista, I'm surprised, as I would have thought Vista would have better resource management for such cutting edge stuff.

Indeed ! I was looking at the stats page today and I was wondering why the hell you have that many WU ! We're definitely powering through the ranks as a team thanks to contributors like yourself

Just create a shortcut and add the -advmethods commandline switch. If you have FAH set to start when windows starts, just modify the shortcut in your "Startup" folder on your Start Menu.

Note: I *think* this works on both the GPU console and GPU viewer versions.

^nope, it's something else (which even reinstalls don't seem to fix). So, I'm back f@h-ing; not going to give up the second place that easily

Is it just me or do /20000 WUs always go much faster and have much less overhead than /8000 WUs?

Hi There!

Well me alone ain't "a lot of people" but maybe it's a start.
Joined the team today, contributing the unused power of my "new" GPU. Don't need the power most of the time, so why don't do something useful with it?
(Well to be honest it's my lil' bro's old, "worn out" 9800gtx )

Why this team? Came across this forum in search of information on my No$GMB acting kinda goofy. I found a lot of useful info but never discovered something new, that was worth posting. So I never singed up.
I think people here are nice, the team is new to F@H, as well as I am, so I think it's the right place for me.

That's all by now, greetz and happy folding.

Welcome and thank you for joining our team!

As a 9800GTX user, you should be able to contribute a lot of points in a short amount of time.

Very nice. I'm so out of the loop that I don't even know what 9800GTX is but it sounds like a top of the line card to me ! We should have no problem hitting the top 2000s soon :-)
