BTW...Anyone here using FAHMon???

Other monitoring tools exist (such as Electron Microscope or FahLogStats), so if you don't like FahMon, have a look at them!
FahMon is entirely coded in C++ and uses the wxWidgets library, which allows FahMon to exist both for Linux, Windows and OS X. It is designed to be really easy to use, and you should thus not encounter any major problem.
it's not descibed above but you can benchmark your PPD(point per day) too!!

It's handy when using several clients, my SMP one gave me about 2100, my GPU anywhere between 3200 and 4000, depending on my GPU clock speed and the type of core downloaded. Unfortunately the SMP gives me random reboots. I think it's the client, since 7 hours of non stop video encoding on 3 cores and folding on the 4th didn't give me any problem at all.

Been rather busy these few days getting ready for IBM's Nehalem launch event yesterday, but finally got some time to leave a few words.

Looks like a whole lot of people have joined the team and we've managed to sneak into the top 6000!

Seems like a lot of people will be joining in with SMP and GPU and PS3 clients? Looks like we're ready to go full steam ahead

nosound.97: Do you think that it may be a firewall problem? To be honest, I would try different configurations of the client (I haven't used the GPU one before), because for me, I was unable to download clients until I set the client to use 'big' work units.

from my reading from folding@home it seems that cpu unstability ( even slowing down my overclocked q6600 to 333*8 =2664 still crash the SMP. at 333*9 it pass orthos for 9 hours ) try to run at default or up the voltage. that helps for me.

Deino? Not to be a pain in the a**, but you should be using the MPICH version. It handles muticore a bit better.

Did you get your WU points problem resolved? I remember seeing 11 WUs completed w/0 points. Now it's 13 w/~1600 points.

...hmm on a 3GB (well sorta 5GB these days) monthly traffic cap even just 10 MB up and down every other day is a little too hefty...

It depends what size work units you request. Small/Normal should never exceed 1MB.
